Week Sixteen: The Great MKMMA Adventure – The 10 Habits of Kindness

Kindness WaveThis week, we loosed Wave of Kindness upon the world: 300 people committed to committing a minimum of 2 random acts of kindness done with an attitude of love each and every day.

If the wing of a butterfly as it moves across a field in South America affects the air currents on the entire planet, what do you think the      focused attention of 300 people can accomplish in transforming the world into a kinder, gentler place?

The practice of kindness enriches us, enlivens, us, and results in happiness. Each act of kindness has a ripple effect, and we really have no way of knowing how many lives each random act of kindness has in the world.

There is a sweetness in life when lived in the experience and energy of loving-kindness. And who doesn’t like sweet?

So, to sweeten your life, here are your 10 Habits of Kindness:

  1. Kind People Send flowers, chocolates, cookies, cards. In today’s ‘electronic world’, the human touch is looking like a candidate for the Endangered Species List! Touch someone’s heart today.
  2. Kind People Live Scroll Two: Choose to greet the day with love in your heart, and then give that love away in the form of heart-felt appreciation of another. Compliment someone. Offer deserved praise for a job well done, or a kind word spoken.
  3. Kind People Practice Compassion. Practice Rule Number Five. Honey, it’s not about you. When you are dealing with someone who is being the north end of a south bound horse, it’s about them. What can you say to make a difference? Sometimes, the simple act of          acknowledging that another person is having a difficult time frees them to remember who they really are.
  4. Kind People Kick Up An Attitude of Gratitude! Who has made a difference in your life? Find them. Call them. Write them a Thank You Note. Let them know the difference they made in you, and how much you appreciate them for doing so.
  5. Kind People Are Shocking! Walk into the local post office, police station, fire station, or sheriff’s office and thank the men and women there for their service to the community.

Want to really shock them? Bring donuts and coffee.

  6. Kind People Are Engaging. Speak to the folks you encounter during the day. All those clerks, sales people,       service workers, teachers, janitors, garbage collectors, cleaning ladies, gardeners…..they all have names. Stop long enough to find out what their name is, and talk with them. Let them know they are seen, and heard, and worth seeing and being heard.
  7. Kind People Become Fairy God Mothers: Seriously, folks. Consider making a child’s wish come true. The Make-A-Wish Foundation gives you numerous levels and manners of giving a child the desires of their heart. Check it out for the ultimate feel-good experience.
  8. Kind People Become Selfish! Selfish is a good thing. It has nothing to do with being self-centered. It has everything to do with being a centered self, someone who has done the work, knows who they are, what they want, and when and where they are going. They are free to love, to laugh, to rejoice in being alive because they do not need the approval of others. They are Self-Actualized and Self-Directed. The Master Keys will do that for you, if you do the work. It’s the Ultimate Act of Kindness to You, and to everyone you know.
  9. Kind People are Polite: Please and Thank You are ALWAYS fashionable. So strut your ‘Miss Manners’ best and watch what happens! Guarantee you’ll love the results!
  10. Kind People are Generous: Mark J is the epitome of this one. This man gives away more skills than Carter has pills. Authentic kindness kills fear, stinginess, stress, anxiety, and trusts that the Law of Reaping and Sowing is true. They freely give what they have, knowing that the more they give, the more they will receive. It’s a beautiful thing.quipple691

Week Fifteen: The Great MKMMA Adventure: Fall Prey to Cupid’s Arrows

maleficent_by_dandelion_s-d7ggt40Week 15 in The Master Keys stuns you. “Thought may lead to action of any kind, but whatever the action, it is simply the thought attempting to express itself in visible form.”

When I was an angry, obnoxious teenager, I memorized William Blake’s “A Poison Tree”. It epitomized my “Me vs. Them” outlook on life. My general demeanor was spiteful, vengeful, and sullen. Not surprisingly, I was miserably unhappy.

I was also ignorant. I did not know that my thinking increased my suffering. I did not know that

The World seemed a Dangerous Place

The World seemed a Dangerous Place

my anger fed the thoughts and turned them into a belief that the world is hard, cruel, unforgiving, and dangerous. I was a brilliant conversationalist, but the conversations cut to the core, often leaving blood on the floor. It was a strange form of amusement arising out of a false sense of superiority.

When I was in my mid–twenties, pop psychology came up with a cute little saying …… Thoughts are Things. I had to stop and think about that one.

If thoughts are things, then the ‘things’ in my life had to have arisen from my thoughts. I reasoned that if I could change my thoughts, my life would change.

I became kinder. My life evened out. My face relaxed. Life was much easier. I was happier, but I was bored out of my gourd. It no longer amused me to leave people lying amidst the wreckage of their own weak thinking. I followed path after path, going nowhere. I could not turn back, but I did not know what to turn to.

3-november-2012-holy-spirit-decending2But God did. Seems He was hanging out in Heaven, patiently waiting for me to discover Love

It was as if He sent Cupid with a quiver full of arrows, piercing my heart with all of them.

God is Love.

The Master Keys 15.11     “It is love which        imparts vitality to thought and thus enables it to germinate.”

Impregnate your thoughts with Love.            Succumb to a rising spiral of the miraculous. The more you love, the more your life transforms. Mine certainly did. My treasures came from within an eternal fountain of love arising deep within my soul. I began seeing beauty everywhere, seeing the miracle that is life.

Love vitalizes my thoughts. I am Happy for No Reason, annoying some folks as a result of chronic bliss.

Now, in my 6th decade, I discovered the Master Keys, and discovered that the power of love within me can be consciously directed to create an even more amazing life. I learned to choose what and how to build my thoughts, impregnate them with love so that they emanate forms hitherto only imagined.

I invite you to fall prey to Cupid’s Arrows, combining that love with the mastery of choosing what you build with your thoughts. The next Master Keys Experience begins in September, 2015. Leaving your name and email puts you in the cue for one of the Endowment Scholarships. It also gives you a powerful tool to start you on your Journey.
