Week 16: The Master Key Experience – We Will, We Will RAK YOU!!!

the-ripples-are-getting-bigIt was Kindness Week in the Master Key Experience. Everyone in the course focused on kindness, on seeing it in others, and in performing RAKs [Random Acts of Kindness] ourselves each and every day.

The joyful part of this week is that it is a tangible demonstration of the Law of Growth:  “Whatever you think about grows. What you forget atrophies.”  By the end of the week, I saw kindness EVERYWHERE, and in EVERYONE I met.

The beautiful part of this week is that each RAK creates a Ripple Effect.  Loving-kindness generates loving kindness, and an upward spiral of kindness, gratitude, happiness, and love rises to the heavens.  It spreads outward into countless lives.  I wonder just how many lives were touched by the over 7000 Random Acts of Kindness which we, collectively, gave to the world?

What did we receive?  An abundance of laughter, love, gratitude, and peace.

Please leave a comment below, and share how you experience kindness in your life today.  Then Share!  Create your Own Ripple in the Ocean of Love in which we all live.

Week 15: The Master Key Experience – A Matter of the Heart

SacrificeSacrifice was once defined to me as that which you give up today because you do not need it at the next level.  In other words, it is that which is stopping you.

In the Bible, we see this in the Parable of the Young, Rich Man.  Jesus tells him to go and sell everything he owns and to follow him.  The rich man cannot do this.  Was Jesus asking too much?  After all, who in their right mind would exchange wealth for poverty?

But it was not riches that stopped the young man. It was his attachment to and his love of  wealth and privilege that stopped him.  Jesus saw what was stopping the young man, and asked him to sacrifice it.

It was a matter of the heart.

Haanel says it eloquently:  “We cannot obtain what we lack if we tenaciously cling to what we have.” [15.5]

The conditions in my life today are the effects of my past choices, which were born out of my thinking.  Whatever we think about grows. What we forget atrophies.

It is always a matter of the heart.

In looking at the present conditions in my life with which I am displeased, I must ask myself, “What is it that I am tenaciously clinging to that keeps these conditions in my life?”

I have been struggling with my health and well-being. I’ve simply been tired all the time. Lack of vitality sucks the joy out of you. What am I tenaciously clinging to that is sucking the joy out of me?

In the last 6 months, moving the business, and then our home, and expanding the practice in the midst of flooding basements and audits resulted in both John and I collapsing over what was supposed to have been our Christmas Holiday.

What am I tenaciously clinging to?

A sense of urgency for the unimportant.  I’ve become The White Rabbit ever running down the White RabbitRabbit Hole managing THINGS instead of priorities.  In other words, I surrendered the Compass for the Clock.  This did not happen overnight, but started slowly, and gained momentum and intensity. I am here to tell you, Intensity is a poor imitation of ENTHUSIASM!!!  Hahahahaha!  And Enthusiasm is my hallmark energetic expression.  I was still able to BE it, but it had become an effort instead of effortless.

I am so thankful to see this!!!!  The Clock is a slave driver; the Compass, a life giver.  I am lighter and happier knowing that the habits developed and entrained over the Master Key Experience are my Compass Restoration tools, and I am implementing them.  It’s my own “The Force Awakens” experience.

Week 12: The Master Key Experience – The Anarchist

Advent

Advent

All these wonderful seasons of going within and glowing without, and I’m talking Politics?

Well, not really. All of the Primaries for whatever party is vying for dominance really bore me. What I’m talking about is this week’s meditation, where we are directed to ‘realize your unity with omnipotence’.  As the spray of a wave crashing upon the rocks contains within it the entire ocean, so do we, contain within ourselves, the exact nature of God.

Christmas

Christmas

“Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness” [Genesis 1:26]

“Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being.’ [Genesis 2:7]

“The Father and I are One.” [John10:30]

Hanukkah

Hanukkah

Why did God create us in this manner, breathing His Spirit into us to enliven us?  Could it be so that we would be able to act upon creation, to be a steward of it, and to create in the physical realm…to have dominion over our world?

Dominion requires personal responsibility, and consciousness.

It also requires reverence and respect for all that has been and is being created.

AND, probably most important, the prerequisite for Dominion over the world is Dominion over the self…..something you can attain through The Master Keys.

The Winter Solstice

The Winter Solstice

This takes me back to Anarchy.

If I and the Father are one, and if you and the Father are one, it stands to reason that you and I are one.  Could this be the reason for the universality of The Golden Rule?

If we are one, then anything and everything that I do unto you, I first do unto me.  In pondering these things over the years, I have come to believe that when the hearts of men are restored to their true nature, they will see that they, themselves, are sacred, and worthy of honor and respect, of kindness, and love.  They will also see that all others are as well, and, dare I say it, that all of creation is Holy.  With this degree of clarity of thought and understanding, is there a need for one man or institution to lord it over another?  I think not.  Thus, I am an Anarchist.

Let there be peace on Earth, and let it begin with me.

Week 10: The Master Key Experience – And Then The Rains Came….

flood-warning

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!  My husband and I just moved into our beautiful new home in Hayesville, North Carolina, in the middle of November. So many things about the house that I absolutely LOVE, and then there WAS that one thing that made me cringe.

The carpet in our daylight basement epitomized early 1980s rubber backed indoor/outdoor ugliness…probably the ugliest carpeting ever made by man.  I casually remarked to John that I really wanted to pull that out and replace it.  He said he’d rather install hardwood floors on the main level first. We were, and still, are unpacking.  Plenty of time.

And then the rains came.  8-10 inches in 12 hours.  John awoke several times that night. He told

me later that it sounded like some wizard had transported our home under a waterfall.  Now, John was raised in the Panhandle of Florida…Hurricane rains don’t faze him, but his storm did.  I awoke early on December 2, put Star’s leash on her and went down stairs to take her outside, and heard “Squish Squish Squish” under my feet as I hit the lower level.  I turned on the lights. The entire basement was flooded.  The carpet was saturated. I quickly went into the ACTION mode, finding a shop vac and working until 1AM the following morning sucking water out of the floors, all in all, over 30 gallons of water.  I found a large shop fan and turned in on high.  The next morning, I could still see my footprints on the carpeting when I walked across it.  I saw where the water had leached up the walls.  I assessed my losses…books, notes, my MKMMA Workbook, water damage to original art which we had not yet hung on the walls…..

Miraculously, none of my leather bound books were damaged, and I had boxes and boxes of them. The art seemed to be drying out ok, but the carpet……. I had to call in the professionals. Mildew was already forming, and Black Mold is NOT on my Bucket List!

thoughts-create-realityThen it hit me.  I laughed out loud.  Haanel, Week 10, tells us “Nothing happens without a definite cause.” Although I have felt pure gratitude throughout this entire experience, I also realized that I was grateful to be getting rid of the World’s Ugliest Carpeting.  BAM!!!!! If only I had been MORE SPECIFIC!!!!!!  Instead of water leaching through the foundation, creating a non-insurable water damage event, I should have told the Universe EXACTLY how I wanted us to be rid of this abomination of ugliness!!!!  There were many other options other than flooding through a saturated foundation!!!!  I’ve learned THAT lesson!!!!

The Restoration People tore out the carpeting, set up the dehumidifiers and fans, and treated all the surfaces to kill any mold and mildew present and to prevent any new from growing.  Once the place completely dries out, they’ll tear out the rubber padding, the linoleum, leaving me with clean, concrete floors.  I’ll make the space beautiful once again, more beautiful than before, for as I has already demonstrated this week, straight from Scroll III, “I persist until I succeed.”

Week Two: The Master Key Experience – Gatekeeper or Monkey Mind?

What you think you become You are what you eat. How many times have we heard it, thought it, and said it?  The body perfectly expresses the truth of this statement. What about the mind? You are what you THINK!  This is equally true and this eternal truth is expressed in many traditions.

The Bible: “Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.” [Proverbs 4:23]

The Buddha: “We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts we make the world.’

Emerson: “You become what you think about all day long.”

Pretty powerful stuff!  No wonder we focus on self-mastery in both body and mind in the Monkey MindMaster Key Experience.  In Week 1, our assignment was to sit perfectly still for 15 minutes.  This week, Week 2, our assignment is to sit perfectly still for 15 minutes with no thought.  I achieve a series of moments of mindlessness daily. The Monkey Mind rules, however!  The Monkey Mind is the mind of distractions. The Monkey Mind fills my time of repose and focus with ‘To Do’ lists, mini-rants, questions, curiosities about the sounds I hear outside…….and on and on and on.  It is a humbling demonstration of the importance of training the mind, for if my life is shaped by my thoughts, it is beneficial to be the one consciously directing those thoughts.

tame the monkey mindAnd consciously directing thoughts is the job of the Objective mind. If we are to create our life through our thoughts, then we must be in control of the thoughts that enter into our consciousness. Haanel tells us “Not only can it impress other minds, but it can direct the subconscious mind. In this way the conscious mind becomes the responsible ruler and guardian of the subconscious mind. It is this high function which can completely reverse conditions in your life.”

Mastering the Seven Laws of Mind empowers us to become the master of our lives, the Gatekeeper who directs and instructs the sub-conscious mind such that the life of the desires of our hearts becomes our daily experience.

Stay tuned. This adventure only gets more interesting!
