Week Twenty-One: The Great MKMMA Adventure – The Power to Name

Michaelangelo The Creation of Adam“Let us make man in our Image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the foul of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” Gen 1:26

“And out of the ground, the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every foul of the air, and brought them unto Adam, to see what he would call them; and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the foul of the air, and to every beast of the field.” Gen 1:19-20a.

What’s in a name? Biblically, the name represents the nature, the spirit, the character, the Adam-naming-animals-by-Theophanes-at-Meteoracharacteristics, and the essence, in every way, of the thing. In giving man the power and authority to name ‘every beast of the field’, God gave the authority to define the very essence and meaning of that thing. This is one of two specific ways which man is made in the image of God.

Haanel echoes this. “The spirit of the thing is that thing….It becomes active through your recognition of it and its possibilities.”  The Master Keys, 20.1

The other is free will… the freedom to choose a course of action, a thought.

In The Master Keys, we master the Power to Name.

For example, biochemically, fear and excitement generate the same response in the body. We have the opportunity to express our two divine rights: the freedom to choose and the freedom to name. My life experience arises from my living into being made in the Image of God. I choose to name that response excitement, and my life is a grand adventure. I choose to name that response fear, and my life is a reactionary nightmare. That’s the Power to Name.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one;’  John 17:22

heart-in-hand-of-godAgain, Haanel follows Biblical truths. “The real secret of power is consciousness of power.” 21.1 “…the more conscious we become of our unity with the sources of all power, the greater will be our power to control and master every condition.” 21.5

We cannot claim our inheritance if we are unconscious of its existence. Even if we are conscious of our oneness with God, we cannot sow the seeds of that life unless we name it and claim it. If we do, we reap a bountiful harvest.

Question: What kinds of things exist in your life that you can transform by exercising your Power to Name? How would your life be different?

Week Seventeen HJ: The Great MKMMA Adventure – The Q-Tip Question

fingers-in-earsDo you remember your mean mama telling you to clean out your ears so you could hear what she was saying to you?

We’ve now got the Hero’s Journey, Self-Discovery, Personal Responsibility Q-Tip Question to totally shatter any denial we may have about our life circumstances and conditions.

What Am I Pretending Not to KNOW?

Every night, I get to face the Gal in the Glass, and check out how I’ve done all day, over all…… That’s the BIG PICTURE!

Now, I get to exercise my ‘I am ARMED AND DANGEROUS’ Thinking Muscles with the DETAILS Question…….

What am I pretending not to know?

This week, I am entering the ENTIRE YEAR of our company’s transactions into Quick Books. I did Denialthis same drill last year. I’m not getting to do what I love, not able to even walk the dogs or have a decent meal with my husband because I have to get this done.

What am I pretending not to know? That had I done my work monthly, this would have already been finished by the 5th of January.

Yesterday, I ate way too much sugar [probably comfort eating because of the work in Quick Books] and my kidneys became inflamed.

What am I pretending not to know? That if I eat poison, I get sick, and sugar is poison.

I’ve been a Pranic Healer for 5 years. There is a FIELD TESTED protocol which corrects the condition labeled Scoliosis. According to the latest picture of my spine, I have a severe laterally twisted spine that curves around my solar plexus chakra.

denial-landWhat am I pretending not to know? That I have lived with this imbalance 4½ years longer than I needed to do so because I was too lazy to commit to three 30-minute treatments a week to correct this. [I’ll be documenting this healing with x-rays and posting it for all to see.]

What am I pretending not to know? That I was afraid it would not work, so rather than try it, I did nothing.

How many times has THAT pattern stopped me from living into my full potentiality? Simply knowing that was so in my life allows me to completely apply the law of substitution and the law of Growth, and move into my vision, passion, and purpose.

What am I pretending not to know? Yep. My mean mama was right! I’ve needed to clean out my ears so I could hear what the Universe has been saying to me.

Heart-Sun1And as a result of doing so, I am free.

The Privilege of a Lifetime

Week Sixteen: The Great MKMMA Adventure – The 10 Habits of Kindness

Kindness WaveThis week, we loosed Wave of Kindness upon the world: 300 people committed to committing a minimum of 2 random acts of kindness done with an attitude of love each and every day.

If the wing of a butterfly as it moves across a field in South America affects the air currents on the entire planet, what do you think the      focused attention of 300 people can accomplish in transforming the world into a kinder, gentler place?

The practice of kindness enriches us, enlivens, us, and results in happiness. Each act of kindness has a ripple effect, and we really have no way of knowing how many lives each random act of kindness has in the world.

There is a sweetness in life when lived in the experience and energy of loving-kindness. And who doesn’t like sweet?

So, to sweeten your life, here are your 10 Habits of Kindness:

  1. Kind People Send flowers, chocolates, cookies, cards. In today’s ‘electronic world’, the human touch is looking like a candidate for the Endangered Species List! Touch someone’s heart today.
  2. Kind People Live Scroll Two: Choose to greet the day with love in your heart, and then give that love away in the form of heart-felt appreciation of another. Compliment someone. Offer deserved praise for a job well done, or a kind word spoken.
  3. Kind People Practice Compassion. Practice Rule Number Five. Honey, it’s not about you. When you are dealing with someone who is being the north end of a south bound horse, it’s about them. What can you say to make a difference? Sometimes, the simple act of          acknowledging that another person is having a difficult time frees them to remember who they really are.
  4. Kind People Kick Up An Attitude of Gratitude! Who has made a difference in your life? Find them. Call them. Write them a Thank You Note. Let them know the difference they made in you, and how much you appreciate them for doing so.
  5. Kind People Are Shocking! Walk into the local post office, police station, fire station, or sheriff’s office and thank the men and women there for their service to the community.
    The Kindness Triangle

    The Kindness Triangle

Want to really shock them? Bring donuts and coffee.

  6. Kind People Are Engaging. Speak to the folks you encounter during the day. All those clerks, sales people,       service workers, teachers, janitors, garbage collectors, cleaning ladies, gardeners…..they all have names. Stop long enough to find out what their name is, and talk with them. Let them know they are seen, and heard, and worth seeing and being heard.
  7. Kind People Become Fairy God Mothers: Seriously, folks. Consider making a child’s wish come true. The Make-A-Wish Foundation gives you numerous levels and manners of giving a child the desires of their heart. Check it out for the ultimate feel-good experience.
  8. Kind People Become Selfish! Selfish is a good thing. It has nothing to do with being self-centered. It has everything to do with being a centered self, someone who has done the work, knows who they are, what they want, and when and where they are going. They are free to love, to laugh, to rejoice in being alive because they do not need the approval of others. They are Self-Actualized and Self-Directed. The Master Keys will do that for you, if you do the work. It’s the Ultimate Act of Kindness to You, and to everyone you know.
  9. Kind People are Polite: Please and Thank You are ALWAYS fashionable. So strut your ‘Miss Manners’ best and watch what happens! Guarantee you’ll love the results!
  10. Kind People are Generous: Mark J is the epitome of this one. This man gives away more skills than Carter has pills. Authentic kindness kills fear, stinginess, stress, anxiety, and trusts that the Law of Reaping and Sowing is true. They freely give what they have, knowing that the more they give, the more they will receive. It’s a beautiful thing.quipple691

Week Fourteen: The Great MKMMA Adventure – Riding the Wrath of the Storm

"The Tempest" by Kelly Murphy

“The Tempest” by Kelly Murphy

In The Wizard of Og, there is written an ominous statement: “I persist and develop my skills as the mariner develops his, by learning to ride out the wrath of each storm.”

I thought back to the Magellan’s Voyage of Discovery, and to the Straits of Magellan, one of the most treacherous of all marine passageways.

Journeys of Discovery – Isn’t that what each of us is doing in the Great MKMMA Adventure?

Magellan was considered a traitor to his native country of Portugal for embarking upon a voyage for the King of Spain. When we fundamentally transform our hearts and minds, some people in our lives do not our ‘future selves’ coming into their ‘present reality’. People don’t like change.

shipwrecked

Shipwrecked by the Old Blue Print

One of Magellan’s ships, the Santiago, was lost in a sudden storm. Fortunately for these mariners, they were close to shore and soon rescued by their comrades.

Perhaps the Santiago was piloted by the likes of Wormtongue (the Old Blue Print), who would rather see us scuttle our ships than continue the journey.

Another ship, the San Antonio, commanded by Esteban Gomez, deserted in the night upon entering the Straits. They chose to turn back rather than face the unknown dangers of their destiny.

I Persist Until I Succeed

I Persist Until I Succeed

I know that I wanted to turn back many times. Unlike Gomez, I persisted until I succeeded in riding out the wrath of the storms raging within my consciousness. I had the knowledge of my power, the courage to dare, and the faith to do. Fidelity to the fundamentals birthed new peptides and built neuro-pathways until the ship of my mind was manned by the love and desire required to guide me to safe waters.

It took 28 days to travel the 600 kilometers of the Straits and emerge to onto the ocean Magellan named Pacific.

We are in the middle of our Great MKMMA Adventure…. These 28 days determine our future. Will we be like many of Magellan’s crew who mutinied or deserted the expedition, or will we be amongst those who persist until we succeed?

And what happens if we quit?

kingofthedead

Those who refuse, or turn back from, the Call to Adventure doom themselves to this.

The mutinous captains were executed…. drawn and quartered, their bones left to the  elements.

Emerson tells us “The mind, once stretched by a new idea, never returns to its original dimensions.”

Once we embark upon our Hero’s Journey, even if we quit, we cannot return to the life we once knew. The life of our Divine Self has been birthed and will call to us again and again until we either embark once more upon our Path, or destroy that life within us from which our passion flows.

It’s up to us. We choose, daily.

The short term suffering of being drawn and quartered seems merciful by comparison to a life of quiet desperation.

Persist until you Succeed. Ride out the Wrath of the Storm. Master your Self, your Life. It’s Your Hero’s Journey, the only Journey Worth Taking.

Week 11: The Great MKMMA Adventure – Advent Revisited

Advent: A Season of Expectant Waiting and Preparation

Advent: A Season of Expectant Waiting and Preparation

Advent is my favorite season in the Liturgical Calendar. It is the Church’s New Year SEASON. It is a celebration of New Beginnings. It is the Commencement of a season of Expectant Waiting and Preparation for the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus, the coming into the physical of the Divine, the Breath of God breathed into all creation once again.

Advent. I love it. A season of Joyful Communion with All that Is. Expectant Waiting and Preparation.

Sounds like the instructions of our exercise in Part Eleven of Haanel’s The Master Keys. 11.34: For your exercise this week, concentrate on the quotation taken from the Bible, “Whatsoever things ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them.” Notice that there is no limitation. “Whatsoever things’ is very definite and implies that the only limitation which is placed upon us is in our ability to think, to be equal to the occasion, to rise to the emergency, to remember that Faith is not a shadow but a substance, ‘the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Every day, we read the statement of our Definite Major Purpose [DMP] with ENTHUSIASM! We Bruce Lee DMPlook at shapes posted around our home which represent aspects of our DMP, connect our heart to them, and say out loud with enthusiasm that which it means to us. We read the Law of Giving aloud, with Enthusiasm. We ponder these things in our heart and riotously, joyously, exuberantly prepare our minds….expectant waiting

The DMP is the “Whatsoever”. The Enthusiasm and feelings we imbue into the reading of it combine with our thoughts, causing the growth of new neuro-pathways, creating a new belief within us. The Beliefs generate our actions which assure that our DMP is that which we ‘shall have.’

The OLD BLUE PRINT: Our Self-Imposed & Self-Created Limitations

And what are those self-imposed limitations of which Haanel speaks? Nothing less than that sly dog, the Old Blue Print! Years, perhaps decades of thought patterns which do not serve us do not die quickly or easily. This truly is Spiritual Warfare. The Dragons we face on our Hero’s Journey are the Dragons we create with our thinking. Only when we take ownership as The Watchman at the Gate of our mind do we empower, breathe life, into that which we create. We master the 7 Laws of Mind. We master the mechanism.

Advent! What a wonderful season. Week 11. What a wonderful time to reflect upon how far into our Hero’s Journey we have come, to jubilantly celebrate breakthroughs, the coming into the world of that which we envision, the unexpected surprises that burst into our lives which propel us into our futures. Advent. A time of Expectant Waiting and Preparation.  Aaahhhh.  Advent. I do believe I love it all the more.
