The Master Key Experience – Week C1 Life Changing Transitions

bs-stairway-to-heavenIt’s interesting the insights the Hero’s Journey gifts to the sojourner.  Last week, I received the ‘Death Watch’ call from my family. My mother, now in the 8th decade of her journey, is approaching death.  She suffers from Dementia, a terrible consciousness stealing process which takes down the body after it takes down the mind. Unable to swallow, her body has become skeletal. The sweetness of her soul still brightly shines. It’s a great gift to know that the essence of who you are, really, cannot be compromised by illness, trials, or anything else thrown in your path.  I am reminded of something Wayne Dyer often said.  When you squeeze an orange, you get orange juice.

What does all of THAT have to do with the Master Key Experience?

Everything.

We are saying good bye to someone we love and respect. Who she is can never be replaced. dotvital.com-fresh-orange-juiceShe is one of Nature’s Greatest Miracles, and for us, the special miracle of being a Mom.

The Law of Dual Substitution: We cannot think of two things at the same time. If a negative thought enters your mind, think about God. Jesus, the Master, said, resist not evil, meaning turn from it and think about something else instead.

I get to choose. I can think of ‘losing’ my mother, and go into depression and great sadness, or I can think about something else instead.  I can think of the many gifts she bestowed upon us throughout her life and ours. Out of her heart poured tens of thousands of loving-kindnesses to all she met, but especially to her children and her family. When I think on those, I smile, and I see the world as a beautiful, wonder-filled, total and completely astonishing place.  What a great gift.

The Law of Dual Thought: Thought is a combination of ideation and feeling. We can attach any feeling to a thought we want.

heaven-gatewayI get to choose. I can be angry and sad that she is dying, or I can feel overwhelming Gratitude for the privilege of knowing her, loving her, and being loved by her. I can feel grief, or recognize the greater truth that she is an eternal being, and that presence in my life will continue, albeit in a difference manner. I can choose to feel happy for her that she is about to embark upon the greatest of all adventures: eternity.

In the Master Key Experience, we discover our authentic selves, the one that, when squeezed, emits the essential truths, characteristics, and values of who we are created to be.  We discover how to transform limiting habits and beliefs into powerful allies that propel us on the journey to our magnificence. We discover a brilliant light shining from our core that cannot be extinguished.  We discover and uncover. I am so thankful to continue to be on this Hero’s Journey.

I went through this the first year I was in the MKE. I can’t express how much it helped me during that difficult time of losing my dad – dementia, swallowing, etc. just like you’re experiencing. Your post is a perfect description of how I was helped – although at the time, I didn’t have the words as you do,. Blessings to you, sweet sister.

If such a thing were possible, Sandra, in honorable #MKE fashion, stole my words before I had a chance to say them, Valeska. Deciding to let your mind master your emotions in the way you’ve so poignantly described during this time of great unwelcome change, sets you a sea apart from the “maddening crowd’s,” usual way of responding/dealing with the same…yet because you have put it in writing, it is, nonetheless, available for all of us to see, to think about, and with each new set of eyes raise the consciousness of the world. Thank you.

And thank you again for providing another jewel beckoning me to commit a theft of my own, and share your piece on my extremely grateful blog — AGAIN — 4th week in a row, I believe!
